Lake Geneva Bible Chapel Preaching Christ Since 1894
Lake Geneva Bible Chapel is a fundamental, Bible believing community church. We are associated with a group of churches commonly referred to as Plymouth Brethren, however, in reality we consider ourselves non-denominational. We seek to do things in a way that is consistent with our understanding of what the Bible teaches and are answerable to God alone for how we meet.
Our roots in the Lake Geneva area go back to 1894. A group of believers began meeting the home of the manager of a farm. That farm was located directly accross the street from our present location, and is now the property of Lake Geneva Youth Camp. Over the years the church has had various homes and has been located at 501 South Street since 1993.
There are a few things about the way we meet that might be different to many people. We do not have an ordained pastor. Men from within the assembly participate in the worship service as the Lord by the Holy Spirit who make every effort to live up to I Timothy 3. We gather each Sunday at the Lord's Supper, more commonly known as communion, to remember the Lord's death and resurrection. It is a time when each believer focuses on Christ and His redemptive work accomplished for us on the cross in response to Luke 22:19 "This do in remembrance of Me." This service is the high point of our week.
Following our worship meeting and after a half hour social break, we hold a family bible hour which includes Sunday school. Various men from within the assembly, as well as, invited guest speakers teach from the Bible.
We at Lake Geneva Bible Chapel welcome you to visit us. We think you will find us to be a group of believers who love the Lord and want to serve Him.
